Taming the wind
So one thing I never did before a few months ago was drying my clothes in the wind rather than the dryer. I never liked the smell it gives to clothes. Plus the dryer takes all the lint away. But since I am trying to use less and save what is left of the planet, I'm going to tame the wind (unti I built a windmill, then I'll really tame the wind ;). But if like me you're worried about static, use fabric softner. And lint? I put the clothes in the dryer for a tumble of a few minutes without heat and voila! The olny problem for me is the little rack I use (see photo) Now I need to get myself a drying line up. But I don't know where to hang it. I'll add that to my 2010 list =)

You are absolutely right about taming the wind. Let them have their role back, the sun to evaporate moisture and the wind to make evaporation quicker!! ... The air will surely be aromatic with soap smell ... haha. Cheers ~ bangchik
ReplyDeleteyes it was ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, you really need to set-up a real clothe-line, I very much enjoy mine!
ReplyDeleteyeah you must
ReplyDeleteIt's on my list, too, to get a clothes line up. The problem is figuring out where! I have too many birds flying all over my yard, and I don't want my clothes to look like my car, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteI do know what you mean, my car was bombarded today big a flock of birds =S
ReplyDeleteWe used to have three long clotheslines in our backyard back in the 1970's. All houses did back then due to what was then called the energy crises when OPEC decided to drive the price of oil skyhigh. We even hung the clothes in the snow or rain. Rain is a great fabric softener BTW. :-)
